Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in event management/planning/directing in Forum, Conference or Sport Event;
  • Ability to manage a number of different tasks, and able to prioritize tasks in the face of many challenges;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to present projects to various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to work transversally with the whole team, ability to be team leader and team player;
  • Great interpersonal abilities;
  • Knowledge of the sports sector/develop would be an asset;
  • Hold bachelor’s degree in project management/business school minimum.

Languages: English and French IT

Skills: Complete familiarity with MS Office. Additional skills would be an asset

The missions and activities of this position, under the supervision of the CEO, are as follows;

Main purpose of job:

Responsible for the organization of the Peace and Sport International Forum. The candidate must ensure that the standard of the event is respected and that it corresponds to the specifications requirement guide. This Forum acts as a platform for bringing together leaders from the world of peace and sport.

Key responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Cross-functional project monitoring, ensuring the flow of information between all project stakeholders, organizing tasks by project department, setting up milestones, controlling timelines and the general timeline of the event;
  • Serve as a link between the event (Peace and Sport) and external bodies (providers, agencies etc..);
  • Produce reports and presentations for internal or external meetings with different types of stakeholders (Internal, board, providers, partners, institutions, master of ceremonies…);
  • Follow the general event management policies made by the management team;
  • Manage the teams within the framework of the project, manage the volunteers of the event and provide recruitment and training/coaching for staff and volunteers;
  • Supervise all the service providers of the event (transport, accommodation, event agencies, digital platform, graphic agency…);
  • Establish the specifications of the service/protocol strategy; follow-up and key contact of the implementation of these logistic aspects;
  • Establish the specifications related to the production of the event (audiovisual technical needs, captation, scenography …) Follow-up and key contact of the implementation of these aspects of production of the event;
  • Oversee the call for projects for the Peace and Sport Awards 2022;
  • Draft post-event recommendations.
